Rules Concerning Bans Empty Rules Concerning Bans

Post by Kuikara Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:54 am

Rules and regulations and general politeness.

One day ban rules: Minor offences.

-Trolling (Provoking people to purposely upset them.)

-Spamming (If you spam chatango you will be auto banned for 15 minutes, if you spam the forum you will have a one day ban from the forums, please try keep your posts substantial.)

-Subject offense (If you are talking about a topic that may offend somone, if you feel offended contact a mod, the mod will then put a stop to the offensive topic, if the party involved does not relent this will result in a ban.)

-Asking to be a mod (Moderators are selected and names put forward, you will not get mod just because you ask for it and want it, so don't ask, ask more than once you will be day banned.)

-Arguing with mods or admins. (You may of course express difference in opinions but if a mod or admin tells you to stop doing somthing you stop, if you feel the mod or admin is being unfair to you contact SolidxEvil.(OniKyuzo, chatango.)

-Swearing (Excessive swearing this includes swearing for the sake of swearing.)

Permanent ban: Serious offenses.

-Agressive behaviour (Threatening harm to other members.)

-Bullying (Following one person souly to cause stress and arguments in threads and chatango.)

-Racism/Discrimination (This includes disability, gender, sexuality and location of upbringing etc. This will not be tolerated.)

-Advertising without permission (Trying to pull members to your own site will result in perminant banning, if you wish to advertise somthing ask for permission from an Admin.)

This is what is expected of you when on our site, remember manners cost nothing and be aware of your fellow members feelings, tolerance is key to a healthy community.

Erm ..... without trying to sound too much like a rebel, I think this is fairly pointless. The site has been up and running since around january without any problems, people join up and know exactly what is expected of them without the need to highlight all these rules.
As Mods surely the main role of you guys is to keep an eye on the forums and act appropriately if people either become abusive etc?

But they're my views.

Im also not in favor of 'Arguing with mods or admins. (You may of course express difference in opinions but if a mod or admin tells you to stop doing somthing you stop'

As prime is aware, if I feel strongly about something, im going to say my piece whether anyone tells me to stop or not Very Happy

This is just for us to show people who decide to say "Where does it say that?" whenever we do try to handle a situation.

Also for your comment about the mod rule, the only reason a mod would tell someone to stop something would be if they felt it was causing people discomfort or could cause uproar with a large group and we don't want a large group of members to feel uncomfortable in our community.

So we would only ask you to stop if you were causing large discomfort

And we have had a few problems here and there hence why we wrote up these rules, you just haven't been around to see them but a majority of people have seen some problems and Kuikara felt we needed some rules and Solid and myself lent a hand

Rules Concerning Bans Empty Re: Rules Concerning Bans

Post by SolidxEvil Tue Mar 24, 2009 9:28 am

I think we need to change the advertising rules considering some don't seem to understand that its about poaching this sites members and now are being funny and saying I would post a link but its advertising, posting links to topics that people may find intrest is completly plausable, posting a link and saying join my forum its better than this one is advertising...

So I propose we change it to

-Advertising with intent on poaching members (Trying to pull members to your own site will result in perminant banning, if you wish to advertise somthing ask for permission from an Admin.)
